Out Loud | Where Thinking Happens

Where Thinking Happens

The right conversation, held well, changes everything.

Out Loud is a facilitation, moderation, and workshop design practice for teams who need someone to lead the room and for knowledge creators who want to build their own. I don’t manage agendas.

I create the conditions where the thinking that actually needs to happen finally does.

Built for the conversations, ideas and breakthroughs that matter.

The real problem

Your organization isn’t short on meetings. It’s short on outcomes.

Teams leave the room without alignment. Decisions get relitigated. The loudest voice wins, and the best ideas never surface. The agenda gets followed. The room doesn’t.

That’s not a scheduling problem. It’s a facilitation problem. And it’s costing you more than you think: in time, momentum and the ideas that never got a fair hearing.

Out Loud exists for the moments where something has to change. Where the conversation, the strategy, or the idea needs to actually go somewhere.

Who I am

Not your average facilitator.

I follow the room, not the agenda.

Out Loud is a facilitation, moderation, and workshop design practice for teams who need someone to lead the room and for knowledge creators who want to build their own. I don’t manage agendas. I create the conditions where the thinking that needs to happen finally does.

I bring 20+ years of experience across Fortune 500 firms, small businesses, universities and entrepreneurial ecosystems: in the room as a facilitator and moderator, behind the strategy as a learning architect and one-on-one as an ideas coach. I don’t show up with a template and a timer. I design each engagement from the ground up, around your people, your challenge and the outcome you actually need.

Every engagement includes collaborative design, real-time adjustment, and follow-up support. From the first conversation to the last debrief, I hold the room … and the thinking behind it.

What I do

4 ways to work with Out Loud

Facilitation
The Session

A single, focused facilitation booking, built around what you actually need. Executive and leadership retreats, offsites, board meetings, strategic planning, brainstorming and innovation sessions, end-of-year retrospectives, and sessions to help teams sort out what AI, technology and change adoption means for their work. I don’t show up with a template and a timer. I design each engagement from the ground up, around your people, your challenge and the outcome you need.

60–90 minutes: $2,250
120 minutes: $2,750
Half-day (up to 4 hours): $5,000
Full-day (up to 7 hours including an extended break): $8,000
Available in person or virtually. Travel and expenses billed separately. Engagements requiring air travel and/or an overnight start at the half-day rate.
Moderation
The Conversation

Panel moderation, fireside chats and guided discussion. For summits, convenings and thought leadership events where the conversation needs a skilled hand to stay on track and come alive.

Single session (up to 2 hours): $1,750
Available in person or virtually. Travel and expenses billed separately.
Keynote Speaking
The Moment

Some conversations need more than a good facilitator. They need a voice. Keynote speaking on the human side of AI/technology, change, innovation and transformation, where the human questions matter as much as the technical ones. Conferences, corporate events and leadership gatherings welcome.

Workshop Design · Now Piloting
The Shape

Workshop and course architecture for knowledge creators: authors, coaches, consultants, educators and thought leaders building their own live sessions. You bring the expertise. I bring the structure that makes people actually learn it. Currently open to a founding cohort at early-access pricing, with limited seats. Also working with organizations wanting to build this capability internally.

Have something bigger in mind? Multi-session arcs and standing peer cohorts are available by conversation. Let’s talk.

Not ready for a full engagement?

Sometimes you just need one focused hour with an objective voice. The Unstuck Working Session is 60 minutes, one-on-one, for the idea, strategy or decision that’s been living in your head long enough. Built for L&D professionals, knowledge creators, and anyone with something they need to think through out loud.

Note: This is a thinking session, not a building session. You’ll leave with clarity and a next step, not a finished framework or a workshop outline. If you already know you need help architecting a full workshop or course, The Shape (shown above) is built for that instead.

Who I serve

Every breakthrough starts with the right conversation.

01

Teams (big and small) that are stuck

Alignment is off. Decisions aren’t sticking. The loudest voice keeps winning. Whether you’re a leadership team at a large organization or a small business with big moments ahead (planning days, goal-setting sessions, year-end reflections), you need someone to hold the conversation differently and get the team somewhere new.

02

Events that need a skilled voice

An offsite, a retreat, a summit, a planning session, a panel. The stakes are high and you need more than a good agenda. You need someone who can design and hold the whole thing.

03

The L&D professional or people leader with something to figure out

You’re trying to bring a learning initiative to life and you’re not sure how to approach it. Or you’re a leader navigating a people development challenge and need a thinking partner, not a consultant. You don’t need someone to own your L&D function. You need one focused conversation with someone who’s been in that room and knows how to help you think it through.

04

TKnowledge creators building their own workshops and programs

Authors, coaches, consultants, educators and thought leaders ready to build and lead their own sessions, not hand them off to someone else. You know your material. You need the structure that makes people actually learn it.

How it works

Full-cycle. Every time.

01

Discovery

Before I design anything, I find out whether the problem you named is the problem you have, and what could derail the session before it does. Tension points, power dynamics, unspoken agendas, whoever in the room has something to lose. Most sessions fail because they’re built around the stated goal instead of the actual block. What surfaces here changes what I build.

02

Collaborative Agenda Design

I don’t reuse agendas. Every engagement is designed around your people, your goals and the outcome you need, built to work around the named challenges, concerns and risks.

03

Design Walkthrough

Before the session, we walk through the design together. You’ll see the flow, why each part is built the way it is, and where I expect the room to push back. This is where we align on outcomes, so there are no surprises on the day for either of us. Leader prep happens here too, plus a prep brief for anyone else who needs it.

04

Real-Time Facilitation

I follow the conversation, not the agenda. I read what’s happening and adjust in the moment, so the discussion goes where it actually needs to go.

05

Capture and Share Back

Every engagement produces something. Decisions, ideas, priorities, commitments. I capture and synthesize what surfaced, so the work doesn’t stay in the room.

06

The Checkpoint

Thirty days later, we look at what held. Did the decision stick, or did it come back? Did the thing that got named get acted on? This is where the work proves itself, and it’s the step most people skip.

The Out Loud difference

Most facilitators follow the agenda. Out Loud follows the room.

I’ve spent over a decade in rooms where the stakes were high and the thinking had to be generative. Senior MDs. University leadership teams. Founders building the next thing. And in every one of those rooms, the same truth held: the agenda is just a starting point.

What moves a room is someone who can read the energy, hold the tension, and create the conditions for the conversation that actually needs to happen. That’s what I bring to every engagement: not a process, but a presence.

Out Loud is built on the belief that the right conversation, held well, changes everything.
